Len Imes, an expert in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) from iXent in Munich and former professor at Stevens Institute of Technology, has subjected our RX40 rim profile to aerodynamic analysis and optimized it using CFD for minimum air resistance in various riding scenarios.
We meticulously spoke our wheels by hand.

“The rims of the Beast RX40 wheelset are handcrafted in Dresden and paired to DT Swiss 240s Disc Center Lock hubs with 24 Sapim CX-Ray spokes – handcrafted meets proven quality. A concept with which Beast is able to produce a stiff, high end wheelset that is also quite light at 1329 g, despite the relatively high number of spokes. For aerodynamic reasons, the nipples are concealed inside the hookless carbon rim, which is fashionably wide with an inner rim width of 20 mm. Quick in acceleration, unaffected crosswinds and an absolute eye-catcher at the ice cream parlor! The RX40 wheelset doesn’t have a weight limit and is a premium upgrade for your bike, both technically and optically.”
